Hello and thanks for dropping by my profile! Here's a few things to note about my work, but obviously you needn't read it if you don't want to.
My weapon of choice is the pencil. I would normally refine and color my work in photoshop, but these days I don't have a scanner, or a computer that can run PS without crashing. So until those two things change you'll be seeing mostly pencil sketches in my gallery. (I'll get a tablet one of these days too, bleh.)
It's pretty obvious I like anime and manga, and I'm aware of the stigma with artists who draw in that style. When I was first really learning how to draw, that's all I ever did, and now I find it hard to move away from that. I am trying, though! I've been practicing in other styles and subject matter. I'm a cartoonist at heart, though. I do draw some realism but I usually won't post it here. It's not very good. LOL.
Now, if you feel a burning urge to tell me what a kawaii desu neko baka chan weeaboo I am, go right ahead, but such comments WILL be deleted. Not everyone who's ever drawn in a manga-ish style is a foaming at the mouth retard, and when you make that assumption you kinda look like a douche, just sayin'.
Same goes for flames. There's a big difference between helpful, constructive criticism and just plain being a jerk. I LOVE hearing/reading helpful criticism, that's the kind of input that helps me improve! But cross that line and start posting comments like "You suck, you should quit right now" and you cease being in any way helpful. What if someone told Kurt Cobain after his first time ever picking up a guitar, "Hey dude you suck, you're never gonna be successful"? Yeah. So flames will be deleted.
Nice, friendly comments are ALWAYS appreciated and make me smile. But don't be afraid to give some helpful, critical input too. If all I ever hear is "wow, you're good!" then where's my motivation to get better? Haha! So thanks for glancing at my drawings, hope you enjoy and I look forward to reading your comments!!!
